It All Started as a Dissertation Project

Diversify was born from the vision of our CEO, Shanine Fasasi, who transformed personal adversity into a movement that unites the Nottingham community.

Today, we run impactful projects like Dads & Lads and Faith Housing Services, and bring people together at our home, Beechdale Community Centre.

We frequently collaborate on impactful projects, including talks with Nottingham Business School, sessions with Dancop's Future Leaders programme at the University of Nottingham, and Reimagining Policing with our Dads & Lads at the Hope Hack Conference in Coventry. We’ve also had the honour of participating in Fernwood School’s Iftar Celebration. The list goes on, and we’re always excited to explore new opportunities and partnerships!

Beechdale Community Centre - we moved here in 2023

At the heart of the community, Beechdale Community Centre is more than just a space; it's a hub of connection, learning, and support. Home to our dedicated team, no two days here are ever the same. Open throughout the week, we welcome everyone, whether you're joining an activity, attending a Nottingham College class, enjoying a warm Wednesday dinner, or sharing a chat over coffee at The Teapot Café. There's always something happening, and there's always a place for you.

Dads & Lads - established in 2023

Leading the Dads & Lads group is Freddie, who brings energy, laughter, and a real connection to the young men and fathers. His ability to balance fun with guidance makes every session engaging, ensuring the boys feel heard, supported, and part of something special. Our goal is to significantly improve the mental health and well-being of fathers and boys in our community and beyond. We do this by fostering positive connections and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that lessens the pressures and tensions that young adults and males face.

Friendly Friday football sessions occur every two weeks, followed by dinner. Throughout the year, various trips and activities are hosted, such as summer outings, bushcraft sessions, and a Christmas ceremony to conclude the year with dinner and awards.

Faith Housing Project

Faith was set up in 2024 as a Christian-founded housing solution to the homelessness crisis in Nottingham. This home welcomes men aged 18 and older who need support and a comfortable place to call home.

To take a peek through the doors of our home, visit the Faith Housing Project Notts page on Instagram.

If you are moved to share a devotional with the Faith family or wish to donate, do not hesitate to get in touch.

I didn't get the mark that I wanted..this was me proving my point. I went through all 15 pages of my dissertation and created Diversify Education, and everything I wrote about, I deliver in project work.

I think what really helped me was the love and the kindness and the welcoming of the whole community embracing me with everything they could and just accepting me for who I am.
